Bobby Owen Band
May 1 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm EDT
An event every 2 weeks that begins at 2:00 pm on Sunday, repeating until May 31, 2022
It’s hard to top the Bobby Owen Band for a night out to remember! Comprised of four well accomplished musicians, this group really delivers! With an eclectic playlist and an uncanny ability to keep the audience engaged, this band continuously kicks out one great tune after another.
Each of the four band members have been performing for crowds at a variety of noteworthy venues from Miami to Melbourne throughout every bit of their adult lives. Holt Sutherland, (lead guitar, vocals) once played in a popular Vero Beach band called AXEHAMMER, as well as with the notorious TIGHTROPE band, where he played alongside Dave Bressett (drums, vocals). Bressett, quite the proficient drummer himself auditioned for and was selected to join the cast of BEATLEMANIA, the famous Beatles Tribute band formed in 1980, but family matters at the time caused him to rancorously decline the prestigious position. Dave Bookamer (bass guitar) was once an integral part of STONE CROSSING as well as S.O.L; two lively rock bands from North Florida. He enthusiastically fills out the band on bass.
Bobby Owen (vocals, guitar) was born in Japan but has resided in Florida since early childhood. His own musical career began as a young teenager, playing on the Praise and Worship team alongside his brothers at their local Miami church. Before moving to the Treasure Coast he performed in every corner of Miami and the Florida Keys with his own Owen Grey Band at dozens of notorious beachfront and local-friendly establishments jam-packed full of classic rock-loving crowds expecting to dance to and absorb their popular tunes. The band’s ability to cover songs without straying away from its original is its hallmark. With a wide ranging sound and an extensive playlist, these guys rock all comers! So, if you haven’t heard the Bobby Owen Band you need to come out for some genuinely good music, played the way it was intended to be played: brilliantly!
